From Scholar to National Council Member

Ugyen Namgay, former BAAA Chair and Australia Awards alumnus, credits his scholarship for shaping his path to Bhutan's National Council — the country's highest legislative body. During his tenure as BAAA Chair, he led blood donation drives, launched the Women in Leadership Network in Bhutan, and co-produced the landmark Tribute Book celebrating 15 years of Bhutan–Australia diplomatic relations.
