Our Relationship with Australia Awards
Australia Awards are prestigious scholarships funded by the Australian Government to develop skills and knowledge in partner countries.
BAAA is the official alumni body of Australia Awards – Bhutan. Every scholarship recipient automatically becomes eligible to join BAAA on their return, connecting them to the global Australia Global Alumni network — a community of leaders and advocates for positive change.
BAAA also hosts the Women in Leadership Network chapter for Bhutan, and collaborates with the Australian High Commission on bilateral programmes, community initiatives, and people-to-people links.
